My Streaming Gear

This is the actual setup I stream on — not a "best of" list, just what I personally use and why I picked it. If you're putting a setup together and want a second opinion on any of it, this is the honest version rather than a sponsored one.

PC & Capture

Graphics card
Nvidia RTX 2070 Super
Older card at this point, but its NVENC hardware encoder still does the heavy lifting for stream encoding without touching game framerate — that's the part that actually matters for streaming, more than raw gaming horsepower. It's held up longer than I expected.

CPU
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X (12-core)
Way more cores than streaming alone needs, but it means OBS, a browser, Discord, and the game itself never fight each other for CPU time. If you're building new today you could get away with less unless you're also doing heavy video editing on the side.

Capture card
Elgato HD60 Pro
Internal PCIe capture card — handy if you ever want to pull in a console or a second PC's feed without adding external boxes to the desk. Plug-and-play in OBS, never given me driver trouble.

Audio & Video

Microphone
Fifine AM8
Budget XLR/USB dynamic mic — the dynamic capsule rejects a lot of room noise and keyboard clatter compared to a cheap condenser, which matters more than raw fidelity if you're not in a treated room. Good starting point before spending real money on audio.

Camera
Elgato Facecam Neo
I don't use this exact one myself, but it's the webcam I'd point someone to if they just want a solid, no-fuss 1080p picture without overpaying — plug-and-play, decent low-light handling for the price, and it's a natural pairing if you're already in Elgato's ecosystem via the capture card.

Peripherals

Mouse
Logitech G Pro Superlight
Genuinely as light as it gets for a wireless gaming mouse, which matters more than it sounds like it should during long sessions. Battery life is solid enough that charging isn't a mid-stream thought.

Keyboard
Razer BlackWidow V3 Tenkeyless
Tenkeyless (no number pad) frees up desk space for mouse movement, which is the main reason I'd point anyone toward a TKL board over full-size. Mechanical switches feel good on stream and hold up to daily use.
